Cooling System

Common to all vehicles

Updated to a reinforced cooling-system specification using carefully selected, high-quality Japanese-made parts

Cooling system components are easily affected by heat and age-related deterioration. When they degrade, they can cause coolant leaks, rising coolant temperatures, and overheating. By replacing and adjusting each component, we restore proper coolant circulation and temperature control.

The Rover Mini was born in the UK, and in Japan’s hot and humid environment its cooling system is especially prone to strain and overheating. For this reason, Classca upgrades the system using carefully selected Japanese-made parts. We replace consumable components such as the 3-core radiator and improved or newly developed hoses.

In addition, the original electric fan thermo switch can vary in operation, so it is replaced with a Japanese-made sensor. This enables stable control, activating at approximately 92–95°C and stopping at around 87°C, helping maintain a consistent coolant temperature and stable running even in summer. The original cooling fan blade is also thin and prone to heat-related deformation, so it is replaced with a reinforced thicker type to improve cooling efficiency stability.

Suspension

When suspension components deteriorate, they can lead to reduced driving stability, abnormal noise, and increased vibration. We inspect joints, bearings, and suspension parts, then replace worn components to restore proper suspension movement.

On this vehicle, the rack boots will be replaced. Tears or deterioration can allow foreign matter to enter, leading to damage to the rack itself. Replacing the boots protects the internal components.

Parts scheduled for replacement Classca-selected parts
  • Rack boots
  • Rack bushes

Deteriorated parts can cause oil leaks or engine problems. This maintenance restores proper engine operation by replacing and adjusting worn components.

Parts scheduled for replacement
  • Genuine air cleaner
  • Vacuum joint
  • Spark plugs

Brakes

Wear and age-related deterioration can reduce braking force or cause abnormal noise. Worn components are replaced to restore proper brake operation.

The rear wheel cylinders use Japanese-made rubber cups, providing a measure to reduce brake fluid leakage compared with genuine parts.

Upgrade

Upgrade Pack

Included in the vehicle price

In addition to basic maintenance, we carry out preventive repairs and maintenance, as well as upgrades using performance-enhancing parts developed in Japan. This menu is designed to prepare the vehicle so it can be driven with greater confidence for many years to come.

Suspension

Lower arm bushes
The lower arm bushes will be replaced. Deteriorated lower arm bushes can cause looseness in the suspension, abnormal noise, and reduced driving stability. The old rubber bushes are removed and replaced with new ones to stabilize suspension movement.
Tension rod bushes
The tension rod bushes will be replaced. When these bushes deteriorate, the vehicle may feel unstable under braking and straight-line stability can decline. The aged rubber parts are replaced with new ones to maintain proper fore-aft movement.
Rear hub bearings
The rear hub bearings will be replaced. Worn bearings can cause noise from the rear or increased rolling resistance. By disassembling and replacing them with new bearings, rear wheel rotation performance is restored.
Suspension joints
The suspension joints will be replaced. Worn joints can cause play and abnormal noise in the suspension, reducing driving stability. The deteriorated joint components are removed and replaced with new ones to restore smooth movement.
Radius arm overhaul kit / oil seals
The radius arms will be overhauled. When the internal bearings and bushes wear, they can cause noise, left-right alignment differences, and unstable driving. The arms are disassembled, internal components are replaced, and grease is applied to restore smooth movement.
Rubber cones
The rubber cones will be replaced with DO-spec rubber cones made by Alex Moulton AVON. These high-performance rubber cones are based on joint development by Alex Moulton, which has developed rubber suspension since the BMC era, and AVON Rubber, with additional testing and improvements carried out in Japan.
Front shock absorbers
The front shock absorbers will be replaced. When shocks deteriorate, vibrations are harder to control and ride comfort and stability decline. Replacing them with new units restores proper control of front wheel movement.
Rear shock absorbers
The rear shock absorbers will be replaced. Deterioration can increase swaying and instability. Replacing them restores rear-end stability and ride comfort.

Drivetrain and Undercarriage

Outer CV joint boots
The outer CV joint boots will be replaced. Torn boots allow grease to leak out, accelerating wear in the joint. Replacing the boots and replenishing grease restores proper protection.
Subframe mount RS
The rear subframe mount will be replaced. As age-related deterioration can reduce body stability, the rubber mount is replaced to help suppress vibration.
Engine mount AT LS
The engine mount will be replaced. Deteriorated rubber increases engine movement and vibration. Replacing it with a new part stabilizes engine support.
Engine mount AT RS
The engine mount will be replaced. Deteriorated rubber increases engine movement and vibration. Replacing it with a new part stabilizes engine support.

Other

  • Tower mount, round
  • Tower mount, diamond-shaped

Engine Area

High-tension leads ABR MAGNECOR
The high-tension leads (ABR MAGNECOR) will be replaced. Age-related deterioration reduces ignition energy transfer efficiency and can cause misfires or engine problems, so they are replaced with high-quality new ABR MAGNECOR leads to improve stable ignition performance.
Chain case gasket & oil seal
The chain case gasket and oil seal will be replaced. Deterioration can cause oil leaks, so the area is disassembled and the seals are replaced to restore proper sealing.
Chain slider pad
The chain slider pad will be replaced. Wear can make chain contact and movement unstable, causing noise and further wear. Replacing the part stabilizes the movement.

Fuel System

Fuel strainer SPi
The fuel strainer (SPi) will be replaced. Accumulated dirt and impurities in the fuel can make fuel flow unstable and cause engine problems, so the part is replaced to restore proper fuel supply.

Brakes

Brake master cylinder
The brake master cylinder will be replaced. Poor hydraulic pressure generation affects braking performance, so it is replaced to restore braking force.
Front hoses & gaskets
The front hoses and gaskets will be replaced. They are renewed to prevent hydraulic leaks and deterioration, restoring a safe condition.
Caliper seal kit (12-inch)
The caliper seal kit will be replaced. Deteriorated internal seals can cause poor operation, so the calipers are disassembled and the seals replaced to restore function.
Caliper split seals
The caliper split seals will be replaced. The seals are renewed to prevent leakage from the split section and restore proper sealing.
Stainless pistons
The original steel pistons are prone to rust, so they will be replaced with stainless steel pistons. Deteriorated or seized pistons can impair brake movement, and replacement restores smooth operation.
Pads (12-inch) Borg & Beck
The brake pads (12-inch / Borg & Beck) will be replaced. Wear and age-related deterioration can reduce braking force or cause abnormal noise, so they are replaced with high-quality new Borg & Beck pads to improve stable braking performance.
Rotors (12-inch)
The rotors will be replaced. Wear or distortion reduces braking performance, so replacement ensures stable braking force.
Retaining pins
The retaining pins will be replaced. Age-related deterioration and wear can reduce brake pad holding force and cause abnormal noise, so new pins are installed to ensure proper retention and stable brake operation.
Shoe ASSY Ferodo
The shoe ASSY (Ferodo) will be replaced. Wear can reduce braking force and cause abnormal noise, so the parts are replaced to restore proper brake operation.
Drums
The drums will be replaced. Wear or deformation reduces braking performance, so replacement restores normal braking condition.
