POINT

A limited-edition anniversary model released to celebrate the Mini’s 40th birthday

This is the 40th Anniversary model, released in 1999 as a limited run of 800 units.
It features exclusive badging, along with navy leather seats and matching interior trim, making it a truly special example.
Maintained in its original condition, it lets you enjoy the authentic appeal of this limited-edition model just as it was intended.

Exclusive interior used for the 40th Anniversary model

The 40th Anniversary model was offered in three colors: Island Blue, Old English White, and Mulberry Red.
Island Blue and Old English White examples were paired with navy genuine leather seats and trim, creating a calm, high-quality cabin atmosphere.

Exclusive navy genuine leather seats

The navy genuine leather seats show minimal wear and remain in good condition.

Dashboard panel for the 40th Anniversary model

Unlike the wood panels used in standard Rover Minis, this model features a dashboard panel with a more modern design.
Because it is more difficult to repair than a wood panel, examples that remain in good condition are rare.

Exclusive gauges commemorating the 40th anniversary

These gauges are exclusive to the Anniversary model and feature the “MINI40” logo on the dial face.

Pre-Delivery Maintenance

After arrival, we carry out a road test and lift inspection, checking approximately 150 items. Based on the results, we perform maintenance according to the selected menu.

For the work, we carefully select high-quality parts made in Japan as well as newly developed components, updating the Mini with a level of quality unique to Japan.

For vehicles offered overseas, the vehicle price includes the Basic Maintenance as well as the contents of the Upgrade Pack.

Cooling System

Common to all vehicles

Updated to a reinforced cooling system using carefully selected, high-quality Japanese-made parts

Cooling system components are easily affected by heat and age-related deterioration. When they deteriorate, they can cause coolant leaks, rising coolant temperatures, and overheating. By replacing and adjusting each component, we restore proper coolant circulation and temperature control.

The Rover Mini was born in the UK, and in Japan’s hot and humid environment, the cooling system tends to be placed under greater strain and is more prone to overheating. For this reason, Classca upgrades the system using carefully selected Japanese-made parts. We replace consumable components with improved or newly developed parts, such as a 3-core radiator and upgraded hoses.

In addition, the genuine electric fan thermo switch can vary in its operating range, so we replace it with a Japanese-made sensor. This enables stable control, operating at around 92 to 95 degrees and stopping at around 87 degrees, helping maintain a consistent coolant temperature and stable driving even in summer. The genuine cooling fan blade is also thin and can deform easily under heat, so it is replaced with a reinforced thicker type to improve cooling efficiency and stability.

Suspension

Deterioration of suspension components can lead to reduced driving stability, abnormal noises, and increased vibration. We inspect the joints, bearings, and suspension components, and replace worn parts to restore proper suspension movement.

For this vehicle, the lower arm bushes will be replaced. Deteriorated lower arm bushes can cause play in the suspension, abnormal noises, and reduced driving stability. By removing the worn rubber bushes and replacing them with new ones, suspension movement is stabilized.

Planned replacement parts Classca-selected parts
  • Lower arm bush
  • Suspension joint

Engine Area

Deterioration of components can cause oil leaks and engine issues. This maintenance restores proper engine operation by replacing and adjusting worn parts.

For this vehicle, the chain case gasket and oil seal will be replaced. Since deterioration can cause oil leaks, the relevant section is disassembled, the seals are replaced, and sealing performance is restored.

Planned replacement parts Classca-selected parts
  • Genuine air cleaner
  • Vacuum joint
  • Spark plugs
  • High-tension leads ABR MAGNECOR 1997 onward
  • Distributor cap & rotor
  • Chain case gasket
  • Chain case oil seal
  • Chain slider pad

Fuel System

Fuel system components are easily affected by age-related deterioration and contamination. When they deteriorate, they can cause poor starting, unstable idling, poor acceleration, and fuel leaks. We check the condition of the pump, hoses, sensors, carburetor, and related parts, and replace or clean worn components to restore proper fuel supply and combustion.

Planned replacement parts
  • Fuel strainer SPi

Brakes

Wear and age-related deterioration of components can cause reduced braking performance and abnormal noises. We replace worn parts to restore proper brake operation.

Japanese-made rubber cups are used in the rear wheel cylinders, a countermeasure designed to reduce brake fluid leakage compared with genuine parts.

Planned replacement parts
  • Wheel cylinders
  • Brake master cylinder
  • Brake fluid
  • Brake cleaner

Additives and Other Consumables

Planned replacement / replenishment
  • Reinforced filter case
  • Engine oil 15 - 50

Upgrade

Upgrade Pack

Included in the vehicle price

In addition to the Basic Maintenance, we perform preventive repairs and maintenance, as well as upgrades using performance-enhancing parts developed in Japan. This menu is designed to prepare the car so you can enjoy it with greater peace of mind for many years to come.

Suspension

Tie rod ends
The tie rod ends will be replaced. Deterioration can cause play in the steering and reduced straight-line stability. Replacing the connecting components restores accurate transmission of steering input to the tires.
Radius arm oil seals
The radius arm oil seals will be replaced. Deteriorated seals can cause grease leaks and allow foreign matter to enter, leading to bearing wear and abnormal noise. Replacing the parts restores the sealed condition.
Radius arm overhaul
The radius arms will be overhauled. When the bearings and bushes inside the radius arms wear, they can cause abnormal noises, left-right differences in alignment, and instability while driving. The arms are disassembled, internal parts are replaced, and grease is applied to restore smooth movement.
Radius arm bushes + bearings
The radius arm bushes and bearings will be replaced. When these internal wear parts deteriorate, the movement of the arms worsens and affects ride comfort and stability. Replacing the relevant parts with new ones restores proper rotational movement.
Rubber cones
The rubber cones will be replaced with Alex Moulton AVON DO-spec units. These high-performance rubber cones are based on a joint development by Alex Moulton, which has developed rubber suspension since the BMC era, and AVON Rubber, then further tested and refined in Japan.
Knuckle joint dust boots
The knuckle joint dust boots will be replaced. Torn or deteriorated boots can cause grease leakage and allow foreign matter to enter, leading to joint wear and abnormal noises. Replacing the parts restores their protective function.

Drivetrain and Undercarriage

Differential side oil seals
The differential side oil seals will be replaced. Deteriorated seals can allow transmission oil to leak. Replacing the seals restores the sealed condition.

Exhaust System

EX downpipe
The EX downpipe will be replaced. Corrosion or deterioration of the exhaust pipe can cause exhaust leaks, so it is replaced with a new part to maintain proper exhaust flow.
Muffler
The muffler will be replaced. Corrosion or internal deterioration can affect exhaust sound and performance, so replacing it restores exhaust flow and sound reduction performance.
